In the month of March 2011 two concerts with Luciano Berio\u2019 s music took place at the Zankel Hall \u2013 the newest venue of the New York Carnegie Hall. On March 10 the American group Alarm Will Sound, all along interested in the connections between contemporary and pop music, performed the show 1969<\/em>. Created and developed by Andrew Kupfer, Nigel Maister and Alan Pierson, the show was made of a variegated series of works by Leonard Bernstein, Luciano Berio (selections from Traces<\/em> <\/a>and Sinfonia<\/em><\/a>, Michelle II<\/em> from Beatles Songs<\/em><\/a> and O King<\/em><\/a>), Karlheinz Stockhausen, The Beatles and Yoko Ono.
\nOn March 31 the ACJW Ensemble, directed by David Robertson, brought on the stage two closely related works by Mozart and Berio: the Mozart’s unfinished Singspiel Zaide (Das Serail)<\/em> K. 344, performed with Vor, w\u00e4hrend, nach Zaide<\/em><\/a> \u2013 in his New York premi\u00e8re \u2013 composed by Berio in 1995 as a commentary on Mozart’s Zaide<\/em>.
