The project has been organized as a series of seminars scheduled to take place from 2010 to 2013; it is the result of a collaboration between the D.M.C.E. (Dramaturgie Musicale Contemporaine en Europe) of the University of Paris VIII, Centro Studi Luciano Berio and the Fondazione Giorgio Cini of Venice. Its intent is to develop over time an in-depth study of the composer\u2019s theatrical works, of his aesthetics and creative process. Each of the six seminars was dedicated to one work of music theatre:\u00a0<em>Passaggio<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Opera<\/em>,\u00a0<em>La vera storia<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Un re in ascolto<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Outis<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Cronaca del Luogo<\/em>. The contributions to seminars are available on the D.M.C.E. website:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www2.univ-paris8.fr\/DMCE\/page.php?page=9\">http:\/\/www2.univ-paris8.fr\/DMCE\/page.php?page=9<\/a>\u00a0(it is necessary to register in order to download the texts). The publication of the definitive hard copy proceedings is scheduled for 2015.<br>So far, four of the six meetings have taken place:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucianoberio.org\/node\/1261?1169851783=1\"><em>Passaggio<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(Venice, 25 September 2010);\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucianoberio.org\/node\/2362?445031986=1\"><em>Opera<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>La vera storia<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(17-18 November 2011, Paris);\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cini.it\/events\/il-teatro-musicale-di-luciano-berio\"><em>Un re in ascolto\u00a0<\/em><\/a>(September 28 2012, Venice);\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdmc.asso.fr\/fr\/saison_cdmc\/conferences_colloques\/theatre_luciano_berio_outis\"><em>Outis<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(8 November 2012, Paris).<br>The project reached its final stage with two meetings on the 28th and 29th of September 2013: the first study day was focused on\u00a0<em>Cronaca del Luogo<\/em>, with the participation of Michal Grover Friedlander, Francesco Giomi, Massimiliano Locanto, Talia Pecker Berio, Alessandro Roccatagliati; the day after Gianmario Borio, Giordano Ferrari and Gianfranco Vinay presented a conclusive panel and will draw a summary of the entire project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the last two study days, the series of meetings\u00a0Luciano Berio\u2019s Musical Theater\u00a0came to a conclusion.
