Perhaps the artistic high point of our lives was our “historical” presentation of Monteverdi’s Orfeo<\/em> at the Maggio Musicale in 1984. This was entirely due to the imagination, the daring, and the generosity of Luciano, the Artistic Director of the Festival for that year. We remember him with so much affection and joy, for that occasion, and of course for many others. Grazie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
